Mushrooms Ragú

Ingredients/ Συστατικά
  • 400 gr. white button mushrooms
  • 400 gr. pleurotus mushrooms
  • 1 onion chopped or sliced or cubed (any way you like it)
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup vegetable stock
  • 5 tbsp tomato juice
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp Italian herbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp corn flour dissolved in the ¼ cup of the Marsala wine
  • A bunch of fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions/ Εκτέλεση
  1. In a pot pour the olive oil and sauté the onion until transparent.
  2. Add the mushrooms and sauté for couple of minutes
  3. Pour the Marsala wine but ¼ of the cup and let boil in medium heat until almost half of the wine quantity is evaporated.
  4. Add the stock and continue to let it boil for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the tomato juice and all the herbs and let boil for another 15 minutes.
  6. In the end pour the ¼ cup of the Marsala wine in which you will have dissolved the 2 tsp of the corn flour.
  7. Stir until the sauce thickens for couple of minutes.
  8. Remove from stove and serve.
