Rice with Vermicelli Noodles

Ingredients/ Συστατικά
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 6 tbsp. dried vermicelli noodles
  • 1 ½ cup boiling water
  • Salt
Instructions/ Εκτέλεση
  1. In a bowl add the rice and water to cover it and let it stay for 10 minutes.
  2. In a pot add the butter and in medium heat sauté the vermicelli until they become golden brown.
  3. Drain the rice and add it to the vermicelli and continue to sauté for one minute.
  4. Pour the water and add the salt, stir couple of times and turn the heat down to low.
  5. Cook for about 10 to 12 minutes without stirring or opening the lid.
  6. Turn the heat off.
  7. Let it stay for 5 minutes and then fluff with a fork.
