Chocolate Cookies and a Book

  • 110 gr. / 4 oz. butter at room temperature
  • 100 gr. / 3.5 oz. light brown sugar
  • 50 gr. / 2 oz. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 130 gr. / 4.5 oz. flour
  • 20 gr. / 1 tbsp + 2 tsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 100 gr. / 3.5 oz. chocolate chips
Instructions/ Εκτέλεση
  1. Preheat oven to 165° C / 330° F.
  2. Take two baking trays and cover them with parchment paper.
  3. In your mixer bowl add the butter along with the two types of sugar and beat until fluffy and pale.
  4. Throw the egg and the vanilla extract and continue beating.
  5. Add the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt and to incorporate.
  6. Finally throw the chocolate chips and with a spatula whisk.
  7. In your baking tray divide your batter in balls as big as a walnut leaving enough space around them because they spread during baking.
  8. Bake for 11 to 12 minutes.
  9. Take them out of the oven, let them cool for one minute and then transfer them on a metal rack to cool.
