Chocolate Cookies and a Book

- 110 gr. / 4 oz. butter at room temperature
- 100 gr. / 3.5 oz. light brown sugar
- 50 gr. / 2 oz. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 130 gr. / 4.5 oz. flour
- 20 gr. / 1 tbsp + 2 tsp cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 100 gr. / 3.5 oz. chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 165° C / 330° F.
- Take two baking trays and cover them with parchment paper.
- In your mixer bowl add the butter along with the two types of sugar and beat until fluffy and pale.
- Throw the egg and the vanilla extract and continue beating.
- Add the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt and to incorporate.
- Finally throw the chocolate chips and with a spatula whisk.
- In your baking tray divide your batter in balls as big as a walnut leaving enough space around them because they spread during baking.
- Bake for 11 to 12 minutes.
- Take them out of the oven, let them cool for one minute and then transfer them on a metal rack to cool.
