Pasta with Blue Cheese Sauce

Ingredients/ Συστατικά
  • 300 gr. / 11 oz. pasta or spaghetti
  • 1 onion finelly chopped
  • 200 gr. / 7 oz. cream cheese with blue cheese
  • 200 gr. / 7 oz. blue cheese, crumbled
  • 200 gr. / 7 oz. light cream 16% fat
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions/ Εκτέλεση
  1. Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a skillet put the olive oil in medium heat and add the onion.
  3. Sautee for 4 minutes and then add the cream cheese.
  4. Whisk until it is dissolved and then add the light cream.
  5. Lower fire and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. At that point add the blue cheese and whisk again until it is dissolved.
  7. Let it simmer for 5 minutes and then toss the pasta and incorporate everything.
  8. As you have noticed I did not put any salt.
  9. This is because blue cheese is very salty.
  10. For my husband it was ok.
  11. But you can taste it and if you feel that it needs salt be my guest. Good luck.
