Pork Tenderloin with Apples in Beer and Curry Sauce

Ingredients/ Συστατικά
  • Two pork tenderloins cut in slices
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 apples cut in cubes
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ¼ tsp cardamom
  • ¼ tsp ground coriander
  • ¼ tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp curry powder
  • Pinch of saffron
  • ½ cup beer
  • Salt and pepper
Instructions/ Εκτέλεση
  1. In a deep skillet pour couple of tbsp of olive oil and butter.
  2. Sauté the pork slices until half done.
  3. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet put the onion and sauté until it starts to soften.
  5. Add the apples and sugar and continue to sauté for about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour the beef stock and all the spices.
  7. Salt and pepper.
  8. Lower heat to medium low and simmer until liquid has lost half its volume.
  9. Turn fire to medium and add the raisins and beer.
  10. Let boil for a few minutes until sauce starts to thicken.
  11. Remove and serve over basmati rice.
