Peach Sorbet

Ingredients/ Συστατικά
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup sugar (the original recipe called for ⅔ cup but I decreased it for health purposes)
  • ⅓ cup lime or lemon juice (I used lemon juice)
  • 500 gr. / 18 oz. fresh peaches, peeled and cut to pieces
  • 100 gr. / 4 oz. bittersweet chocolate chunks (optional)
Instructions/ Εκτέλεση
  1. Put the water and sugar in a pot over medium hit.
  2. Stir to dissolve the sugar only in the beginning.
  3. Let it simmer for five minutes.
  4. Put in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  5. In a blender put the peaches, the syrup and the lemon juice.
  6. Make them puree.
  7. Add the chocolate chunks.
  8. Put in the fridge for one to two hours and then throw this mixture to your ice cream machine and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  9. When the machine has chilled the sorbet, place it in a glass or stainless steel container and put it in the freezer until ready to use it.
  10. Now if you don’t have an ice cream machine, you place it in the container, put it in the freezer and every hour you will have to take it out and with a fork stir it.
  11. You do that three to four times and then you let it stay for an hour and it is ready for you to eat it.
